The Coniatore is a rounding coil dome made of tempered steel. The controlled machining process incorporates a smooth single piece of steel. This crimp tool is necessary to "choke" the top of the hull after the crimp start has been established. This stage readies it for the Ribassatore stage, which constricts the dome and folds even tighter.
The "Coniatore" is the second stage of the GAEP crimping process

* IMPORTANT NOTE ON RPM
GAEP crimp heads are optimized for operation at 1100 RPM, which is the standard speed for their motors. Many hand drills and some drill presses do not reach this rotational speed. If you experience crimping issues with GAEP products, the first step is to verify that you are operating at the correct speed.
